This soil sample was taken from the container of a small succulent that died a while ago and recently showed a green coating on top of the dirt. The left plate is CMA, the right is PDA. The CMA plate, if you look closely, has quite a bit more white, fuzzy fungi growing all along the left. The PDA plate has much more dark sclerotia growing all around the plate. If you were looking to identify individual growths, I believe the PDA plate is better because the fungi are a bit more separated and individual.
