This plate is the air sample plate taken from my backyard. The specific patch of mold I am trying to identify is circled red in the picture. The growth rate for this mold was relatively slow compared to some of the rest of my plates. The mold’s color from both the top and the bottom of the plate is dark green. It also seems to have a dark brown outline to the patch, though it is difficult to tell in the picture. Considering all of this information, this mold seems the most like Cladosporium herbarum, although the color of the mold from the picture seems darker than the Cladosporium herbarum reference photos. I still believe it is this species, since there are other patches of mold that also have the same characteristics but with slightly lighter colors.
