The sample that was plated on both dishes was a soil sample from my cat’s favourite plant. The top plate is CMA and it had a decent amount of growth, but the lower plate PDA had a much denser and abundant growth, which covered most of the plate. The better media for this sample was the PDA plate which allowed the fungi to grow bigger and faster than the other plate, this may be due to better nutrients for those fungi to grow than the other plate.
