In the two medias, I plated some tissue from my cactus (that was inside my house) on the left of the plates and a petal from a variety of chrysanthemum (that was growing outside) on the right of the plates. In the PDA media, I can see a lot more fungi (around 8 colonies maybe) growing on it compared to the CMA media where it looks like there is just two colonies and bacteria. On the CMA plate, however, it looks like there is this white, semi transparent, fungi growing from the chrysanthemum petal, and it’s growing pretty quickly, almost taking over half the plate. In the PDA media, there could be the same type of fungi growing (can’t really tell), but it definitely is not growing as quickly. Despite this, I would still say that the PDA media is a lot better just because it allowed more fungi to grow on it, and it doesn’t look like there is bacteria growing either.
