This fungus was collected from an air sample next to my garden. The fungus is growing in CMA. From the top view, the fungus has rings of various shades of dark green. It also looks like the edges of the colony is a dark brown, and is fuzzy in texture. From the bottom view, the colony is dark brown/black. This fungus has a medium growth rate, as it’s not growing as quickly as the other fungi I have, but the colony also isn’t super small, which would indicate a slower growth rate. The colour of the colony kind of reminds me of Cladosporium herbarum, although it looks kind of different from the image provided in lab because the one on my plate has rings. However, Cladosporium species are commonly found in the air so it is most likely is a member of this genus.
