These mushrooms were found in Surrey, BC, underneath large maple trees, growing from the grass. These mushrooms feature a convex cap that changes to flattened, with an entire cap margin. The cap surface is warty. The partial veil is pendant-like. The gill attachments are free, with broad breadth, average thickness, and crowded spacing. The gill edges are even. The stem is centrally located, equal to tapered in shape with a large base that is concentric scaled to friable. The top part of the stem is smooth, whilst the lower part is fibrous.
I think this is most like Amanita muscaria.
