First, I want to say that I’m shocked at what has grown from the air we breathe. I went out on a drive and held the Petri dish facing the direction I was driving. The air was super cold and started freezing my hand so I couldn’t expose them to air as long as I had hoped. Observing the plates, I can see way more growth on the CMA than the PDA. More white colonies can be seen on the CMA, with some having a greater circumference than those on the PDA. (While I was driving the air smelled so fresh and clean that I didn’t think anything would grow. What are we breathing in?!) Anyways, air apparently likes CMA media over the PDA.
