Samples of okra and strawberry that had started to mold were plated on the CMA and PDA media. In the image, the okra sample is on the left half of the plate, and the strawberry sample is on the right half of the plate. For the okra, more mold grew on the CMA than the PDA media. However, for the strawberry sample, more mold grew on the PDA then the CMA media. Since each sample preferred different media, it’s hard to say which one is better. For the strawberry mold, PDA media is better because you can see more growth. It actually grows over the half line mark. For the okra mold, CMA is better. The growth between the two media for the okra sample did not differ that much, but you can see slightly more growth on the CMA.
