This mushroom was found in a family friend’s backyard in Squamish, BC. Unfortunately, this was found a bit late in the season and these poor little guys were starting to die. However, even though they are not in their prime, they look like a false-gilled mushroom species of the genus Cantharellus. The cap shape appears to be arched, with an undulating ca margin. Because they are dying, it’s hard to tell the cap surface, but I assume it was smooth? The stem looks like it may have been eccentric and tapered.
