This is a leaf sample from my indoor aloe plant. The left is the top and the right is the bottom. It appears to grow radially with a green fuzzy top and white edges. The bottom is a cream/yellow colour and looks milky and not fuzzy. I would say the growth rate is not slow but also not very fast. The top looks similar to Penicillium chrysogenum however the bottom is completely white does not appear similar to Penicilium’s green bottom with white edges. It also appears similar to Aspergillus fumigatus on the top but again the white bottom is different to Aspergillus’ green bottom with white edges. This could potentially be a similar species to either of these fungi based on the similarities in colour and growth.
