This mushroom was found near the side of a gravel path and was growing on a field of soil and dead leaves. Its cap shape is campanulate and has striate cap margins. Cap surface is smooth and has no partial veil. Gill attachment is free and thickness of gills is average. Breadth is narrow and gill edges are even with close spacing. Location of stem is central with an equal stem shape. Stem surface is smooth and no bulb was visible. This species appears to be Mycena filopes because of the greyish white cap and long white stem with similar gill shapes.
