1. This was taken from some kabocha squash that had started to form large blemished spots on it. There was one sample taken from a black spot and one taken from a white spot.
2. The PDA dish seems to be growing slightly faster than the CMA dish; both the white and black pieces of squash have larger molds growing on them on the PDA plate.
3. The PDA media is better at growing these specific molds as they are further along in development and may be easier to identify. It does not show extreme growth and the molds are still easily distinguishable.
