This plate has some soil from my garden. The PDA plate is growing much better, as both plates are basically covered with mycelium but the mycelium on the PDA plate appears much thicker and more opaque, and has also climbed up the plate more. There does seem to be possibly different types of fungus on the two plates as well, as the PDA plate mycelia are more yellow-ish, whereas the CMA plate mycelia are more white. I would say that the PDA media is better for these fungi, as they do seem to be growing more vigorously.
