This fungus was found on the paths of Green Timbers, and the fungus was growing on the soil under the trees. The fungus had brain-like structure at the tip of the stipe. Its stipe seemed to be ribbed/costate. There was no cap, gills, or partial veil present. I believe this is Helvella vespertina.
