This was found on the SFU hiking trails, near the trunk of a tree on the ground. Cap is a smooth, depressed (saucer) shape with smooth margins. Gills are attached adnately, narrow breath, average thickness, subdistant spacing and has even edges. Stem is central, smooth and flexuous. I think this is Russula mordax, although colours may be slightly different.
