I found this mushroom growing on a tree next to a hiking trail. It has a light brown stalk and cap, and white gills. The cap has a papillae shape, and its margins are striated with fragments. The cap surface is also smooth. There appears to be no partial veil, or bulb/volva. The gills are freely attached, have narrow breadth and taper. In addition the gills are distantly spaced and have crenate edges. The stem is centrally located under the cap, and is flexuous shaped. Its surface is smooth. After looking at Mushroom up! I think that this mushroom might be Psilocybe pelliculosa since both mushrooms have similar cap, and stem shape/surfaces.
