To encourage my brother to be more hygienic, I decided to swab the sole of his shoe and show him just how much mold (and bacteria) he carries around with him on a daily basis. At the micro lab I work at, we frequently have to swab our own shoes as a positive control, so I expect to see a low to moderate amount of growth based on my observations from work.
