I found this mushroom on a hiking trail, growing on a stump. It’s quite big and pretty yellow. The cap is a depressed saucer shape, has eroded margins, and an uneven surface. There is no partial veil that I can see. The gills are long and recurrent, have a broad breadth, and have an an average thickness; they appear to be falsely filled though since I found what appears to be branching. The edges are crenate. Finally, the stem is located off- centre (eccentric), has an equal shape, and its surface is lacunose. It lacks a bul/volva. Because of the color, and gills shape I think this might be a false chanterelle.
