This mushroom was growing at the base of one of the shrubs in my backyard (at the start of this portion of the course). Based on the slides from the lab, I would say that these fungi have a pulvinate cap shape, with a cap margin that appears either sulcate or crenate. As for its surface features it would appear to be fairly (maybe have very fine wrinkles?). Once again, because I didn’t have the foresight to look under the mushrooms I cannot say much about the veil features or stem features. However, looking closely one can see the gills appear to be subdistant. If I were to hazard a guess on this particular mushrooms identity, I would say that it may be a part of the Hygrophorus Genus, potentially Hygrophorus Eburneus (based on color and description)
