This mushroom was attached to a (dead) stump at a nearby school. Based on the fact that the mushrooms seem to be quite old (pertitied?), it is difficult to name exactly what the cap shape should be. However, if I was to describe this based on what we learned in the lab I would argue the shape to be pulvinate (Cushion-like). Additionally, I would say the cap margin is appendulate with an uneven cap surface. Unfortunately, I did not look under the can to observe any potential gill, stem or veil features. Based on the way this fungi had grown and its attachment to a dead stump, I would say that it most likely belongs to the Polypous genus of fungi
