These mushrooms were found off of a sidewalk near my house while on a walk. They appeared to be torn up by an animal. The cap appears to be ovoid, I am not able to tell about the margin since it appears to be broken. From what I can tell it is smooth. The cap surface appears to have pressed scales. The partial veil looks stellate. The gills seem to be thick. The stem looks to be off-centered. This mushroom resembles the shape of the Shaggy Mane, Coprinus species displayed on http://mushroom-collecting.com/mushroomshaggy.html
