This was a mushroom that I came across when I went to go pick up the petri dishes earlier in the semester. If I was to pick one word to describe this mushroom’s cap shape I would probably choose convex. Moreover, I would argue that the cap margin is, for the most part, even/regular. The cap surface appears to be mostly smooth, potentially with some small scales (squamose?) on the top. The stem appears to be attached centrally, with a fairly equal shape that has a smooth (maybe longitudinally striate) surface. If I was to hazard a guess of this mushrooms identity, I would say it most closely resembles a mushroom of the amanita genus (similar in appearance to maybe Amanita Alpincola?)
