This mushroom was found in a neighbors front lawn growing among a patch of clover.
It has a fairly flat top which is smooth and has an even margin. No partial veil features. Gills are uncinate and are close together. They are broad with even edges. The stem is central and smooth. Picture doesn’t include the bottom of the stem but I don’t remember it having a bulb.
Unfortunately I didn’t bruise this mushroom, but it reminds me of a Lactarius species because of its color and cap shape.
