1) I sourced some moss from a semi-rotten fallen log. 2) I chose this because moss is often damp, so fungi may like to grow amongst it. The moss itself looked healthy and vibrant. 3) I predict to see low amounts of fungi because while the log itself was rotten, the moss sample I took looked healthy, which is not ideal for fungi to grow.
