This is a swab of black mold from my window sill. The left (PDA) plate has this black and green growth as well as a good amount of white fuzz growth. The right (CMA) plate has the black and green growth but minimal white fuzz growth. I think if we are focusing on the black and green growth, which is what I wanted to see, the CMA plate would be better because there is less white fuzz in the sample.
