This growth is growing from a sample of bird bath water. All the growth is whitish yellow, and seems to grow in small colonies that cumulatively form irregular shaped growth. This mold grew very fast. However, there is no dark colour associated with this growth, so this will make it hard to identify. There are no visible sclerotia, it’s all homogenous growth. It also isn’t fluffy. When looking at the molds we’ve covered in class, it’s hard for me to match the growth on my plate with any of them. The colour and shape of Clonostachys rosea seems to be a good fit, but the top is not white and fluffy. The colour of Fusarium solani also kind of matches, but the top is not a greyish white fluffy top, however, the bottom is yellow and white.
