This mushroom was found growing in a park near the base of a coniferous tree. This gilled mushroom is infundibuliform with an undulating cap margin and smooth shiny surface. The gills are decurrent (long) and appear to be narrow and thick. Gill spacing is crowded and the edges are even. Partial veil is not present. The stem is central and equal, with a fibrous surface. Bulb is not visible. The cap structure, along with the light brown colour and highly reflective surface of the cap leads me to believe that this mushroom is mostly likely Russula crassotunicata. Except that the mushroom above is arched much higher, exposing all the gills.
