For both samples above they were taken from a plant I have in my house. The sample on the left side of the plates was from a leaf that was brown and the right was from a leaf that was green. The right plate was PDA and the left CMA. For these samples I see significantly more growth on the PDA plate. Fungi have completely overtaken the plate and seems to have filled up the space between the agar and lid with spores. We do seem growth on CMA but both samples only grew a small ring of fungi around each and they both look like a single type of fungi (Penicillium?). Again CMA is good for isolating fungi as less grows but PDA supported faster and more growth overall.
