I found this mushroom, growing in the soil under some leaves on a hiking trail. The cap color and stalk are a light brown. The cap is umbonate, and the margin is entirely even regular. The cap surface is pubescent. There is no visible partial veil. The gills are adnate horizontal, with narrow breadth, and average thickness. The spacing between gills is subdistant; gill edges are even. The stem is centrally located under the cap, with an equal shape, and longitudinally striate surface. It lacks a bulba/vuvla. After looking at A Guide to Western Mushrooms, I think this mushroom is Armillaria Mellea. The color, stipe and cap features are similar.
