This is dirt from my backyard garden. The left (PDA) plate contains more white fuzz growth as well as has some green and yellow colonies as well. The right (CMA) plate only has minimal white fuzz growth. I think the PDA plate is better because it has faster growth and a few types of fungi, but if we wanted just the growth of one type of fungi (the white) the CMA plate could be better.
