Though unremarkable at first glance, the floor near our front door is my dog’s favourite spot to take naps. Since everyone in my family walks across it in their shoes (and my dog with her dirty paws), I was curious to know just how much filth I get on my hands when I pet my dog. I anticipate to see quite a lot of fungal growth since shoes bring in a lot of soil and dirty water and its not like we can afford to wash our floors daily.
