On the left half of the Petri dish I have plated a sample of mold growing on a hand fan. The fan was left outside in the rain and brought back inside. Spots of greenish-black mold started to grow. I took a swab of this and placed it on the Petri dish. For the fan mold, I can see that it likes both the CMA and PDA very much (as there is a lot of growth). However, there is slightly more growth on the PDA. This is the same for the sample of bathroom mold that I plated. I took a sample of mold from the bathroom ceiling and inoculated both media. It seems that the bathroom mold also prefers the PDA (as more growth can be seen on this media than the CMA).
