I took a sample of the rotting apple and isolated its skin. These apples have been sitting on grass around my neighbourhood (more than a month) which made me curious if there is any decomposing fungi on the apple. I am not completely sure about my expectation for this sample since the apples have been there for a long period and shows a lack of decomposition, but I wonder if the slow decomposing rate is due to the cold temperature.
