I chose to sample a leaf from a live Salal shrub, the leaves of which had interesting dry/brown spots. I chose this because I wanted to see what kind of mold could be responsible for the decay on the leaves. I also want to compare the molds from this leaf with another leaf source I took from a houseplant. I expect that this will have a medium to high amount of mold growth, since it looks as though mold could be a cause of it’s decaying.
