There is a section of kiwi skin on the left of each plate, with an apple stem on the right sides. The left plate contains CMA and the right contains PDA. Both plates seem to be growing the same fungi, with the difference being their growth rate. The fungi on the left plate look like an earlier stage of the fungi growing on the right. The PDA plate is clearly better for fungal growth. The colonies are more compact and pigmented.
