The source I extracted from for these plates was some day old coffee sitting on my desk. On the left is the coffee on PDA media and on the left is coffee on CMA media. The colonies on the PDA media on the left seem to be more numerous than than on the right which only has one blue colony. However the media on the right seems to be supporting more types of molds (blue, pink and white). The CMA media seems to be better in this case as the blue colony is just as large as the ones on the PDA, yet the CMA is also feeding other types of molds.
