This photo represents a piece of apple versus a piece of Daiya cheese tested on both CMA and PDA media. According to the photo, the CMA media presents a higher growth pattern of fungi than PDA media. This is because the right side (cheese) had no growth on PDA media but it presented some growth on the CMA. Therefore, I would say that CMA media is better since it presented a higher growth patter, and the fungi was more isolated (formed in colonies) which made it easier for us to visualize.
