These are a cluster of light brown mushrooms found growing on a log off the side of a hiking trail. The cap is convex but also kind of flat (plane), with a scaly surface. The cap margin is undulating. These mushrooms also have a pendant partial veil. The gills have a free attachment, with narrow breadth and even edges. The stems are centered, and has a fibrous texture. There are also no bulbs and volvas. I think this is Armillaria because this genus of mushrooms has scales on their caps and are whiteish to brown in colour. Armillaria are also found on trees and they feed on dead plant tissues.
