The plates contain rotten samples of cilantro and celery. The left plate is the CMA media, and the right plate is the PDA media. In both CMA and PDA plates, the left side contains the rotten cilantro, and the right side contains the rotten celery. The PDA plate seems to have a different type of fungi growing compared to the CMA plate. The CMA plate lacks the greenish-white mold that the PDA plate has on the cilantro side. However, the cilantro on the CMA plate seems to cover more area compared to the PDA plate. In both plates, the celery side doesn’t seem to have that much growth, and the growth look more bacteria-like rather than fungal-like. Overall, CMA media seems better in terms of growing fungi in this specific case, which is attributed to the fact that fungal growth on the cilantro side was more outreached compared to the PDA plate.
