Cat mint [left] and kale [right] leaf pieces are present on each plate. There looks to be two different fungi growing from the cat mint, both are growing at about the same rate on their respective medium. One with a preference for PDA [left] and one with a preference for CMA [right]. Fungus growing from the kale is growing better on the PDA than the CMA. For the cat mint, the best media choice will depend on what is required to be grown, because each medium is supporting fungal growth about the same for possibly two different fungi. The kale fungus is growing better on the PDA than the CMA, because the growth is much higher on the PDA.
