The top PDA media contains a brown leaf sample from my indoor plant (top section) and a healthy leaf sample from the same plant (bottom section). The bottom CMA plate contains the same type of samples, brown leaf from plant (top section) and healthy leaf (bottom section). The PDA plate on the top appears to be growing a dark green fuzzy colony on healthy sample, while the CMA plate appears to be growing a white fuzzy mold colony for both the brown leaf and healthy leaf sample. The brown leaf sample on the top section of the PDA plate is growing a tiny dark green mold colony that is surrounded by a thick, opaque white colony which may be bacteria. Both types of media appear to be equal in terms fungi size, but the PDA plate appears to be better at growing the green colony while the bottom CMA plate appears to be better at growing the white colony.
