The mushroom was found underneath a large pine tree near a hedge in a shaded area. It was growing on debris such as pine needles, dried leaves, and grass.
The cap is dark gray, irregularly lobed, convoluted, and wrinkly. There are no partial veil features. The underside of the mushroom wasn’t visible but judging by the ribbed stem, the undersurface is also most likely ribbed. The stem is central, lacunose, and irregularly shaped with visible pockets, and grayish-white in colour.
I think this is Helvella lacunosa because H. lacunosa has a very distinct shape that matches with this mushroom.
