Found growing on a fallen log off the trail by a creek.
The cap shape is conchate. The cap margin is undulating, The cap surface is uneven. No partial veil or gills. The stem is sessile. Underside is white in colour with many small pores evenly distributed across. I believe it was hard to the touch.
This mushroom looks most like Fomitopsis mounceae. However compared to picture sources the orange margin is much smaller.
