For the above sample I left the plates open in my backyard for 1 hour at about 5pm. The left plate is CMA and the right is PDA. There is about equal growth on both plates with each having a couple types of fungi growing based on the couple colours we see (pink, green, yellow). The nice thing about this sample is the fungi look to be growing separate from each other and there is little overlap at this point. Since both CMA and PDA have equal growth and little overlap both plates are equally good would be good to grow and isolate fungi.
