These plates contain samples of the air outside my sundeck. The right side is PDA plate and the left side is CMA plate. The growth in the amount of colonies on both plates seems about the same. However, the PDA plate seems to show more variety in the types of fungi (blue, fuzzy black, orange and a bright yellow colony present on the PDA plate) which the CMA plates doesn’t seem to have. Also the colonies are larger in diameter on the PDA plate for the black colonies specifically. I think the PDA media is better than CMA for this sample because the colonies are slightly larger in size on the PDA plate and more variety of fungi are visible.
