I took a piece of persimmon with white bumpy texture on its surface from my pile of persimmons. The tissue appears to be damaged as there is some sort of white bumpy texture growing on it, along with other brown spots. I expect to see moderate fungal growth as the white bumpy texture on the persimmon appears to have established itself quite well on the fruit already.
