I know. There might not be a ton of fungi here, but I asked a question. If the cold environment of the fridge prevents fungi from growing, then why does my food still get moldy? Is there some form of super fungus in the fridge air? Probably not. It’s probably since they just grow slow, instead of die in cold environments. But still I like to imagine of such horror film scenes of the super fungus murdering all food-kind. So yes, I sampled the air of my fridge. I’m hoping that I would collect some fungi here, but I don’t expect a lot of it because we keep the fridge relatively clean and it is a cold environment, but there is a lot of food here for sleeping fungi to hibernate in, so maybe something from opening the fridge door, or the fridge cold-air ventilation is circulating the spores around.
