These were found in a ravine near my house growing on some dead trees. The caps appears umbonate. The cap margin looks sulcate. The cap surface looks smooth however there appears to be some sort of glaze over them but I think that may be from something else. There is no partial veil and the gills look free remote. The gills also appear broad, average thickness and subdistant. The gill edges are even. The stem is central, flexuous and longitudinally striated or fibrous. I think this is similar to Cortinarius kroegeri however these are more wrinkled on the outer edges of the cap and a more yellowish colour but this can be due to these being older mushrooms.
