These mushrooms were found when I was on a walk near my house off the sidewalk near some trees. The brown one appears much older because it no longer has the red colour and the cap is flattened but the gills are visible in this picture. The red one has a convex cap shape and even cap margin. They have the flecks which are the remnants of the universal veil as well as it has the ring of the partial veil that appears pendant. The gills appear seceding, narrow, average thickness and closely spaced. The stem is central and even and the bulbs and volva appear marginate-depressed. I think these are Amanita muscaria.
