This is what grew from my cactus soil sample. There was quite a large difference in growth the one on the top of the photo was grown on CMA media and had lots and lots of growth, while the Petri dish below was plated with PDA and it did still have growth, however it was not near as much as the other plate. It looks like both plates grew similar species of fungi, however the CMA plate was the better media. This is because of the faster and more abundant growth.
